The Youth Philanthropy Iniative is undertaken by senior pupils during their Religious Education programme. This involves pupils working with local charities over a period of several weeks and delivering a presentation to a panel of judges piloting the cause of the charity, with an aim to win a donation of £3,000 for the charity. Young people in John Paul Academy make a great effort in working together in teams, organising visits to charities or inviting speakers in from charities to gain information about their cause. This year the winning group successful won funding for the local charity Possobilities.
